Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon clove
  • 1-2 cardamom pods
  • 1 teaspoon juniper berries
  • ¼ vanilla bean
  • 3-4 star anise pods

Instructions

  1. In a small pan, combine water, sugar, and spices.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, to dissolve sugar.
  3. When sugar is fully dissolved, remove from stove and let cool.
