Ingredients
- 1 bottle red wine
- 1 hot Amaretto liqueur (35ml)
- ½ cup brown sugar (110g)
- 3 clementines or 1 orange
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 cloves
- 3 star anise
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
- Cut the clementines or orange into thick slices and add to a medium sized pot. Add all of the remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
- Heat the wine slowly until it starts to simmer then immediately turn off the heat (do not let it boil)
- Ladle the mulled wine into heatproof mugs and serve.
