Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pint sliced white or portobello mushrooms cleaned
  • 1 sweet onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 /2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/4 /4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 /2 teaspoon fresh herbs thyme, rosemary, or parsley

  1. Heat butter or olive oil over medium heat in a medium skillet. Add mushrooms, onions, and salt. Cook until fork tender, about 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in black pepper and fresh herbs, if using.
