Ninja Air Fryer Baked Potato
This Ninja Air Fryer Baked Potato recipe prepares medium russet potatoes by scrubbing, poking holes, oiling, and salting before air frying at 200°C. The result is a baked potato with a crisp skin and tender, fluffy inside. Flipping halfway ensures even cooking through the potato’s thickest parts, making it a simple alternative to traditional oven baking.
Ingredients
- 3-4 russet potato medium
- 1 tablespoon neutral cooking oil or non-aerosol cooking spray, generic cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt or more, to taste, coarse
Instructions
- Scrub the potatoes under clean running water, then dry them using a kitchen towel.
- Preheat your air fryer at 200°C (392°F).
- Using a fork, poke holes on each side of the potatoes, and rub the sides with cooking oil.
- Without overcrowding, place the potatoes inside your air fryer and then generously sprinkle coarse sea salt on top of each potato.
- Air fry for 30 minutes. Flip and air fry for a further 20-30 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes. (See notes on how to check whether the potatoes are done).
- Once cooked, remove the potatoes from the air fryer basket, and cut a slit on top to release the steam (this also helps keep the skin crispy). Serve your air fryer baked potatoes with sour cream and chives, butter, or your favorite toppings!
Notes
- Use an internal thermometer to check potato doneness; it should read between 205°F and 212°F in the thickest part.
- Alternatively, test doneness by inserting a fork; it should slide in easily and the potato should feel tender.
