Nutritional Yeast Dressing
Nutritional Yeast Dressing is a creamy, tangy sauce combining nutritional yeast, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, tamari, garlic, and seasonings. It blends smoothly for a rich texture and savory flavor, ideal for salads or as a flavorful condiment with a plant-based nutrient boost.
Ingredients
- 1 cup nutritional yeast
- ⅓ cup olive oil extra-virgin
- ⅓ cup apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon
- ¼ cup tamari low-sodium or soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- pinch salt fine sea salt
- black pepper to taste, ground
Instructions
- Combine all dressing ingredients except olive oil into a blender. Blend until smooth and slowly add in the olive oil, with the blender on a low setting.
- I prefer making this dressing in a blender because it gets extra smooth and creamy, but if don’t have a blender you can easily make it by whisking all the ingredients together as well. Just make sure you mince your garlic really well.
Notes
- For an oil-free option, replace olive oil with water; the dressing will be less creamy but still flavorful.
- To avoid soy, substitute tamari with coconut aminos, which provides a similar salty umami flavor.
- Finely mince garlic if preparing without a blender to ensure even flavor distribution.
