Oat Milk Hot Chocolate
This creamy cup of oat milk hot chocolate is something I love waking up to in the morning. I add in powdered collagen for a boost of protein, rich chocolate and oat milk.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chopped, or dark chocolate
- 2 cups oat milk (or other milk of choice)
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
- Pinch of kosher alt
- 2 collagen optional, scoops
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, pour in the chocolate, oat milk, maple syrup and pinch of salt. Turn the heat to medium-low and warm slowly, whisking steadily, until the chocolate has melted and has married with the oat milk.
- Carefully transfer to the blender and pour in the scoops of collage, if using.
- Place the lid on and allow some steam to escape (if you don’t, it can sometimes lead to a bit of an explosion) and pulse for about 30 seconds, until nice and frothy.
- Divide amongst mugs and serve.

- Tips and Tricks:
- Variations - Feel free to use a different type of milk. Add cocoa powder if you want it a bit creamier. Use cacao powder if you want some added antioxidants.
- Toppings - I say go crazy. Add whipped coconut cream or regular whipped cream. Top it with Mint Chocolate Chip Marshmallows, if you feel so inclined!
