Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats or quick oats
  • 1 banana chopped into chunks and frozen
  • 1/2 cup almond milk unsweetened
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter 100% natural
  • 1/2 tablespoon pure maple syrup plus additional to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract pure
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ice optional, for a thicker smoothie

Instructions

  1. Place the oats in a blender and pulse until they are finely ground, creating a smooth base for your smoothie.
  2. Add the frozen banana chunks, almond milk, peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and kosher salt to the blender with the ground oats.
  3. Blend the mixture until it reaches a smooth and creamy consistency, pausing to scrape down the sides of the blender if necessary.
  4. Taste the smoothie and add more maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter flavor. If you desire a thicker texture, add ice and blend again.
  5. Pour the smoothie into a glass and DEVOUR!
