Ingredients

  • 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • ¾ cup walnuts chopped
  • ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the oats, walnuts, and chocolate chips.
  5. Drop tablespoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are set. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
