Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 onion diced
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp homemade taco seasoning
- 1 cup salsa
- (1) 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 1/4 cup uncooked pasta shells
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Brown the beef, onion and garlic in a large skillet or stock pan. Drain off any excess grease.
- Then stir in the taco seasoning, salsa, tomato sauce, beef broth and pasta shells.
- Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Cover and reduce the heat to low and simmer over medium-low heat stirring occasionally for approximately 20 minutes or until the pasta is tender.
- Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.

Notes
- *Refrigerate the leftovers in an air tight container for up to 5-7 days.
- *I love using pasta shells for this recipe but rotini or penne pasta would work great in this recipe too!
