One Pot Beef Taco Pasta Skillet Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 onion diced
  • 2 tsp minced garlic 
  • 2 tbsp homemade taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa
  • (1) 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/4 cup uncooked pasta shells
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef, onion and garlic in a large skillet or stock pan. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Then stir in the taco seasoning, salsa, tomato sauce, beef broth and pasta shells.
  3. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Cover and reduce the heat to low and simmer over medium-low heat stirring occasionally for approximately 20 minutes or until the pasta is tender.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.

Notes

  • *Refrigerate the leftovers in an air tight container for up to 5-7 days. 
  • *I love using pasta shells for this recipe but rotini or penne pasta would work great in this recipe too!
