- 2 teaspoon canola oil or vegetable oil
- ¼ cup shallot minced
- 2 lbs chicken breast cubed, boneless, skinless
- 3 garlic minced, cloves
- 1 TBS fish sauce
- 2 teaspoon white sugar
- 2 teaspoon soy sauce lower sodium version
- 1 ¼ teaspoon chili paste such as sriracha
- 2 teaspoon water
- ½ teaspoon cornstarch
- salt dash
- ⅓ cup basil torn apart, fresh leaves
