Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 medium yellow onions finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • chopped chives for garnish, optional

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until onions are golden brown and caramelized, about 25-30 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, softened cream cheese, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until smooth.
  3. Fold the caramelized onions into the cream mixture until well combined. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.
  4. Serve the onion dip garnished with chopped chives, if desired, alongside your favorite chips or vegetable sticks.
