Onion Dip
Forget the store-bought stuff—after one scoop of this rich and creamy Onion Dip, you'll never go back!
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
- 3 yellow onion finely chopped, medium
- 1 teaspoon salt sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper ground
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- chives for garnish, optional, chopped
Instructions
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until onions are golden brown and caramelized, about 25-30 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, softened cream cheese, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until smooth.
- Fold the caramelized onions into the cream mixture until well combined. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.
- Serve the onion dip garnished with chopped chives, if desired, alongside your favorite chips or vegetable sticks.
