Orange Cardamom Beet Smoothie
Fresh beets add nutrients, flavor and a burst of color to this creamy, citrusy smoothie.
Ingredients
- 1 small 5 ounce beet, peeled
- 1 banana large, frozen
- 1 ginger root ½ inch piece, peeled
- 1 cup orange juice
- ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
Instructions
- Place all ingredients into a blender, and blend until smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides of the pitcher as needed.
Notes
- For an extra creamy smoothie, use just ½ to ¾ cup of orange juice.
