Orange Carrot Smoothie
This bright and citrusy smoothie is made with orange, carrot, and ginger. Packed with vitamins and nutrients, this orange smoothie is perfect for battling cold and flu season!
Ingredients
- 1 large orange peeled, seedless
- 1 large carrot (peeled and roughly chopped)
- 1 medium banana
- ½ cup water
- 2 inch-piece ginger thinly sliced, fresh
- 2 tablespoons flax seed meal
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon Turmeric
- ice to taste
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and puree until smooth. Add enough ice to reach the desired consistency.
Notes
- I use powdered turmeric for this but if you have fresh that’s even better! For a thicker consistency, frozen bananas are a great option and perfect for stashing away overly ripe bananas.
