Oreo Truffle Balls

Oreo Truffle balls are adorable and delicious, snack-sized treats that you can whip up in a matter of minutes, no baking required!

Ingredients

  • 14.3 ounce package Golden Oreos other flavors can be used
  • 1 heaping cup vanilla frosting canned or homemade
  • 12 ounces bright white candy melts other colors can be used
  • Mermaid Sprinkles optional
  • White Luster Dust optional

Instructions

  1. Begin by adding the Golden Oreos into a food processor. Pulse until reduced to small crumbs (like the texture of sand).
  2. Add Vanilla Frosting and pulse until combined (like the texture of playdough).
  3. Using a cookie scoop, scoop 2 tablespoons of dough into your hand and form a ball. Set onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
  4. Place cake balls into the freezer to chill for 1 hour, or until firm.
  5. Once firm, melt 12 oz Bright White Candy Melts according to package instructions.
  6. Using a fork (or a chocolate dipping tool) dip the cake balls into the melted candy coating and allow excess to drip off.
  7. Transfer to a parchment lined baking sheet and immediately top with sprinkles.
  8. Set aside to cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened.
  9. Once hardened, liberally dust with White Luster Dust.
  10. Refrigerate in an airtight container until ready to use.

Notes

  • No Food Processor? No problem! Double bag your Golden Oreos and crush them with a rolling pin!
  • Vanilla frosting can be swapped out for cream cheese instead.
