Original Bisquick Strawberry Shortcake Recipe

Ingredients

Bisquick Shortcakes
  • 2 1/3 cups Bisquick
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoon butter *melted
Strawberries
  • 1 lb strawberries *stems removed, sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees and add the sliced strawberries and 1/4 cup sugar to a bowl. Stir and place bowl into the refrigerator to chill.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick, milk, sugar, and melted butter. Stir until just combined.
  3. Drop the biscuit mixture onto a baking sheet, making 6 drop biscuits.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for about 14-16 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5.  Remove from oven and cool slightly.
  6. To serve, split a shortcake in half. To the bottom half, add whipped cream and strawberries (with juice). Place top half on and add more whipped cream and strawberries. Serve and enjoy!
