Our Favorite Ham Sandwich

Ingredients

For the honey mustard
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
For the sandwich
  • 4 slices rye bread grain bread, or Artisan bread
  • 8 ounces sliced ham leftover or deli sliced
  • 2 ounces Swiss cheese or marble cheese, sliced
  • 1 medium ripe tomato sliced
  • 4 leaves lettuce

Instructions

  1. Combine the mayonnaise, mustard, and honey in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Lightly toast the bread if desired and spread the honey mustard over one side of each slice.
  3. Place the cheese on two slices of the bread, top with ham, tomato slices and lettuce. Top with the remaining two slices of bread and cut sandwich in half.
