Pa Amb Tomaquet

Pa amb tomaquet, a cousin of bruschetta, is a very simple traditional dish from Andorra that is typically served with ham, cheese, sausages or vegetables.

Ingredients

  • Rustic bread (or baguette)
  • 2 garlic cloves , halved
  • 3 tomato ripe
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the bread into slices of about ½ inch (1cm)
  2. Toast the bread in a toaster or under the broiler at 400F/200C for a few minutes.
  3. Rub garlic on bread.
  4. Cut tomatoes in halves. Rub onto bread slices.
  5. Drizzle olive oil over bread. Salt to taste.
  6. Enjoy on the spot with a good glass of wine... from Catalonia course.
