Ingredients
- ¼ cup oil for frying
- 6-7 fillets Red snapper fish fillets washed and dried
- 3-4 tablespoon yogurt
- 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
- ½ tablespoon salt or to taste
- ¾ tablespoon Red chili powder:
- ¼ tablespoon turmeric powder
- ½ tablespoon red chili flakes
- ¼ tablespoon garam masala powder
- ½ tablespoon Cumin powder/Zeera powder
- 1 ½ tablespoon all purpose flour
- 1 ½ tablespoon Gram flour/Baisin
- 1 lemon juice whole lemon
Instructions
- Wash and dry the fish thoroughly.
- Prepare the marinade. In a bowl, add the yogurt and spices. Add the salt, red chili flakes, red chili powder, zeera powder, turmeric powder, ginger and garlic paste, garam masala powder, flour, and gram flour.
- Mix the mariande well.
- Sprinkle in the lemon juice and mix well.
- Apply the marinate to each fish fillet. Make sure it is well coated.
- Let it rest for at least 2 hours.
- Heat the oil in a large frying pan.
- Add the fish fillets to the pan. Don't overcrowd the pan. Fry 2-3 pieces at a time.
- Fry the fish on medium flame, turning occaisionally.
- Fry the fish till its golden brown.
- Serve the fish hot with a fresh salad and your favorite chutney or dip!

Notes
- Make sure to buy fresh fish fillets.
- Wash and dry the fish thoroughly.
- Let it marinate for at least 2 hours. You can also marinate and leave in the fridge for up to 2 days.
- Fry on medium heat.
- Serve fresh with a delicious mint and yogurt dip or tamarind chutney.
