Ingredients

  • 4 mahi mahi fillets 4-6 oz each
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt plus more to taste
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper plus more to taste
  • 4-6 cloves garlic minced (I used 6, but mine were smaller cloves)
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • Juice from 1 lemon plus more slices for serving
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Pat the mahi mahi fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat 1 Tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the mahi mahi fillets to the skillet. Sear for 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Remove mahi from the skillet.
  3. Reduce heat to a low and add butter. Let it melt then add the garlic and lemon juice and saute for about 1-2 minutes until garlic is golden brown.
  4. Turn off heat and add mahi back to the skillet, spooning the butter mixture over each mahi filet. Serve with fresh parsley and capers, if desired. Serve with your preferred sides and enjoy!

Notes

  • Storing: Store any leftover mahi mahi in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm it gently in a skillet over low heat or in the oven at 300°F until heated through. Be careful not to overheat — fish can dry out quickly. You can also enjoy it cold over a salad for a quick lunch!
