Pan Seared Salmon with Garlic Butter

Ingredients

  • 12 oz fillets of salmon, skin on 4 fillets
  • 2 Tbsp garlic scape butter
  • 1 tsp fresh ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon, fresh squeezed

Instructions

  1. Let salmon sit on counter for 10-15 minutes before searing.
  2. Add garlic scape butter to a non stick frying pan. Recipe for butter is here.
  3. Place salmon skin side down, over medium high heat. Sear for 4-5 minutes, until golden. Flip salmon carefully and sear the other side until golden, internal temperature should be about 135°F for medium rare. Don't overcook.

Notes

  • Do not over cook salmon!
  • If you purchased skinless filets, they are fine too.
