Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb chicken breast sliced into ¼ inch thick pieces
  • 2 cups green beans cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Chicken Marinade:
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
Sauce:
  • 4 tablespoons chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce low sodium
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoons hot chili sauce optional
  • ½ teaspoon chili pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  1. In a medium size bowl, combine the ingredients for the marinade and add in the thinly sliced chicken.
  2. Marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or overnight if you have time.
  3. Add all the SAUCE ingredients to a bowl, stir and set aside.
  4. Heat a wok or large pan over high heat and add the 2 tableespoons of oil. When its shimmering, add the chicken in a single layer, without the marinade, and ser it well until golden-brown, 1-2 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside, repeat with the remaining chicken. Set aside.
  5. Add the green beans and onion to the pan and saute for 2 – 3 minutes.
  6. Lower the heat to medium and add back the chicken.
  7. Stir and add in the sauce. Saute everything for 1 – 2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  8. Top with sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
