Ingredients

  • 4 lices pork tenderloin
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 4 oz. cheddar cheese grated
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 4 cups milk boiling, whole
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg freshly grated

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a non-stick pan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the flour and stir continuously until smooth.
  2. Add the boiling milk gradually to the butter and flour mixture, whisking continuously until smooth.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for about 5 to 10 minutes, stirring constantly, until obtaining a smooth sauce.
  4. Remove from heat and season with salt and nutmeg.
  5. Cover the sauce with plastic wrap (the plastic wrap needs to touch the surface of the sauce) and reserve it.
  6. Using a mallet, beat the slices of pork tenderloin between two sheets of parchment paper until they are flat and thin.
  7. In a shallow bowl, beat the egg vigorously.
  8. Pour the bread crumbs in a separate dish.
  9. Coat each slice of pork with the beaten egg, then dip in the bread crumbs, covering them evenly.
  10. Heat a large pan of vegetable oil until the oil reaches 320 F (160˚C).
  11. Fry the pork on both sides until golden brown.
  12. Deposit the pork on paper towels.
  13. To serve, pour the bechamel sauce over the pork tenderloins and sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top.
  14. Place under the oven grill on medium heat until the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
