Pasta with Basil Cream Sauce

Ingredients

  • ½ pound pappardelle pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup basil fresh
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese fresh grated
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta to al dente.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and add the fresh basil leaves and stir until the leaves are wilted.
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  6. Use a blender or a food processor to puree the sauce until it's smooth.
  7. Return the sauce to the saucepan and put it back on the heat.
  8. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and butter until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  9. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Combine the pasta to the sauce and stir until well incorporated.
  11. Serve and enjoy.
