Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter softened, unsalted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 egg room temperature, large
  • 1/4 cup sour cream room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract pure
  • 2 cups peach peeled, pitted, and sliced, fresh

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in sour cream and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in the sliced peaches.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
