Ingredients

  • 6 cups peach peeled and sliced, fresh
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract pure
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup rolled oats old-fashioned
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter cold and cubed, unsalted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease an 8x8-inch (or a similar size) baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of flour, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Toss to coat the peaches evenly and transfer them to the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the rolled oats, 3/4 cup flour, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Sprinkle the oat mixture over the peaches in the baking dish, covering them evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbling.
  6. Remove from the oven and let the peach crisp cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
