Peach Lemonade Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of water
  • 2 cups peaches peeled and diced
  • 3/4 cup sugar sugar alternative for sugar-free
  • 1 cup lemon juice about 5 medium-large lemons, fresh squeezed
  • ice

Instructions

  1. Combine water, peaches and sugar in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, reduce and simmer for three minutes.
  2. Cool mix for 20 minutes.
  3. Place mixture in a blender. If still warm allow for the spout to open to let the heat escape. If your blender doesn't have that option, remove lid and place a towel over the top (or cover the open spout) to catch any splatter.
  4. Pulse until smooth and put in the refrigerator for at least three hours.
  5. Strain mixture through a sieve over a pitcher or bowl, reserving the liquid. Stir in lemon juice.
  6. Pour lemonade in a glass filled with ice.

Notes

  • The strained peach solids can be saved and added to smoothies to reduce waste and add flavor.
  • Doubling the recipe allows making a larger batch for gatherings or storage.
