Peach Lemonade Recipe
Peach Lemonade Recipe blends diced peaches simmered with sugar and water, pureed and chilled before straining and mixing with fresh lemon juice. This process results in a refreshing lemonade with natural peach sweetness and tangy citrus notes. Served over ice, it offers a bright, lightly sweetened beverage ideal for warm days or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
- 4 cups of water
- 2 cups peaches peeled and diced
- 3/4 cup sugar sugar alternative for sugar-free
- 1 cup lemon juice about 5 medium-large lemons, fresh squeezed
- ice
Instructions
- Combine water, peaches and sugar in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, reduce and simmer for three minutes.
- Cool mix for 20 minutes.
- Place mixture in a blender. If still warm allow for the spout to open to let the heat escape. If your blender doesn't have that option, remove lid and place a towel over the top (or cover the open spout) to catch any splatter.
- Pulse until smooth and put in the refrigerator for at least three hours.
- Strain mixture through a sieve over a pitcher or bowl, reserving the liquid. Stir in lemon juice.
- Pour lemonade in a glass filled with ice.
Notes
- The strained peach solids can be saved and added to smoothies to reduce waste and add flavor.
- Doubling the recipe allows making a larger batch for gatherings or storage.
