Ingredients

  • 3 cups Cheerios
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place the peanut butter and honey in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave at 30-second intervals stirring in between until the mixture is smooth and melted. Then, stir in the vanilla. (Alternatively, you can melt this mixture in a small pot on the stove over low heat.)
  2. Pour the Cheerios into a bowl and add the melted peanut butter and honey peanut butter mixture to the bowl.
  3. Gently fold the peanut butter honey mixture into the Cheerios. (See this tutorial on how to properly fold ingredients.)
  4. Press the peanut butter-coated Cheerios mixture into an 8x8 baking pan lined with parchment, patting the top to get things smooth. Refrigerate the bars for 1 hour, then slice into 9 bars and serve.

Notes

  • I like to use non-separating natural peanut butter here but the normal processed jarred peanut butter works also. Just don't use homemade peanut butter or natural peanut butter in which the oil separates.
