Peanut Butter Oatmeal Protein Balls

These Peanut Butter Oatmeal Protein Balls combine rolled oats, protein powder, hemp seed, and peanut butter for a dense, chewy snack. The mixture is bound with maple syrup and moistened with water for easy rolling, while chocolate chips add a touch of sweetness. No baking is required, making them a convenient grab-and-go option. The balls offer a hearty texture from the oats and hemp seeds, balanced by the creamy peanut butter and bursts of chocolate.

Ingredients

  • ⅔ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup protein powder of choice
  • 4 Tbsp hemp seed
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 3 Tbsp pure maple syrup
  • Pinch salt sea salt
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon optional
  • 2-4 Tbsp water
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Add all of the ingredients (except for the water) to a food processor. Note: if you don't own a food processor, you can use a large mixing bowl and mix everything together by hand.
  2. Process until everything is well-combined. If need be, add 1 to 4 tablespoons of water (or any type of milk), and process well, until the peanut butter ball mixture presses together easily.
  3. Stir the chocolate chips into the cookie dough until they are well-distributed throughout. Note: you can also add the chocolate chips to the food processor with the other ingredients to blend them into the mixture.
  4. Form 16 to 20 balls out of the peanut butter mixture.
  5. If you have a cookie scoop, now is a great time to use it!
  6. Enjoy as a snack or a light dessert!

Notes

  • Use an unflavored or vanilla protein powder according to personal preference for flavor variations.
  • If using salted peanut butter, consider omitting added salt to avoid oversalting.
  • Adjust water quantity between 2 to 4 tablespoons to ensure the mixture binds well for shaping into balls.
  • Store the formed protein balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
  • For longer storage, freeze the protein balls for up to 3 months.
