Peanut Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup peanut butter smooth or crunchy
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 ½ tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sambal oelek
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon hot water or more as needed

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, sambal, and ginger.
  2. While whisking, drizzle in hot water to reach the desired consistency. Add additional water for a thinner sauce.

Notes

  • ¾
  • Recipe makes about ¾ cup of sauce.
  • Optional additions: 1 teaspoon sesame oil, 1 small clove minced garlic
  • For a thinner sauce, use more water, or make it thicker with more peanut butter.
  • Leftovers will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
