Pear Syrup

Ingredients

  • 2 pears cored and cut into chunks, no need to peel
  • 1 cup white sugar 200g
  • 1 cup water 240g

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Core and chop the pears. No need to peel them.
  2. Add all ingredients to a pot and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
  4. Place a fine mesh sieve over a bowl and pour in the mixture to remove the pear pieces (save them and serve on oatmeal for a treat!).
  5. Pour into a bottle or jar and store in the refrigerator once completely cooled.
  6. Note: the pear syrup will thicken further once cool.
