Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter melted, unsalted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup water hot

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour melted butter into a 9x13-inch baking dish, ensuring the bottom is evenly coated.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, salt, and baking powder. Stir in milk and vanilla extract until just combined.
  3. Pour the batter over the butter in the baking dish without stirring. Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly over the batter.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar with hot water until the sugar is dissolved. Gently pour this mixture over the pecans and batter, without stirring.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cobbler is set.
