It was seriously like Christmas in my mouth and I couldn’t stop eating them!  I think this became my favorite of all of the muddy buddy versions that I have made!

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces white almond bark, or white chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon shortening
  • 5 cups Chex Cereal, any variety
  • ⅓ cup crushed peppermint candy canes
  • ½ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place 5 cups of Chex cereal into a large bowl, and set aside.
  2. Add the almond bark and shortening to a saucepan. Heat over medium heat until melted.
  3. Once melted, add the crushed peppermint candy and stir to combine.
  4. Pour the melted mixture over the cereal. Stir to coat the cereal well.
  5. In a large zip-lock bag, add the powdered sugar. Pour the cereal mixture into the bag and seal the bag. Shake to coat the cereal in the powdered sugar.

Notes

  •  I used a food processor to crush the candy canes.  It worked great and made the candy canes very fine and the perfect consistency for the mix.
