Let chocolate cool for 15 minutes. Pour chocolate over peppermint layer, spreading evenly. Sprinkle immediately with crushed candy canes.
  5. Using the edges of the foil, lift uncut bars out of pan. Use a 1-1/2-inch round cookie cutter to cut into rounds* or use a sharp knife to cut into squares. Store in the freezer until serving time.

Notes

  • How to cut: Use a sharp knife to slice these into bite sized squares OR cut the bars into holiday shapes with a cookie cutter!
  • Keep frozen: Store peppermint cream bites in the freezer until ready to serve. They stay good for up to several weeks, so feel free to make a couple of batches at once so you can enjoy them all season long.
