Ingredients

  • 6 cups vanilla ice cream softened
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips chopped
  • 6 candy canes smashed
  • 1/2 tablespoon peppermint extract start with this amount and work your way up

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. First, start by emptying the entire container of ice cream into the large bowl of a stand mixer. Loosen it up by mixing it by itself for a few seconds.
  2. Smash your candy canes by putting them in a thick storage bag and banging away. You want pretty small pieces. Same with the chocolate! Chop it pretty small.
  3. Pour in the chocolate, candy canes and extract into the bowl of ice cream.
  4. Stir it all around until well combined.
  5. Pour it back into the empty vanilla ice cream container and re-freeze until it firms up! That's it! Enjoy!
