Pepperoni Roll Up

These Pepperoni Rolls are a fun twist on everyone's favorite. Serve warm with marinara sauce for a delicious snack, lunch, or appetizer!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen bread dough 1 loaf
  • 16 lices pepperoni slices or salami, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning divided
  • 1 ½ cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Topping
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • ½ tablespoon shredded Parmesan cheese
  • ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ cup marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Thaw the bread dough according to package directions.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment. Roll dough out into a 12x12 square.
  3. Roll dough out into a 12x12 square.
  4. Lay pepperoni over the dough, slightly overlapping the pieces. Sprinkle with ¼ teaspoon of Italian seasoning.
  5. Top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Roll up and place seam side down on a baking sheet.
  6. Combine the topping ingredient in a small bowl and brush over the loaf.
  7. Bake 40-50 minutes or until golden. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • If your additions contain a lot of liquid (like mushrooms) or are crunchy (like bell peppers) cook them first to soften and drain any liquid.
  • Pizza dough can be substituted for bread dough, you may need to adjust the cooking time.
  • If the loaf begins to brown too much, lightly tent with foil.
  • Ensure the dough is cooked through in the middle before removing from the oven. Bread dough is cooked through at 190°F.
  • Serving size 1/6th of the loaf.
