Ingredients

  • 6 eggs preferably older eggs for easier peeling
  • water

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place the eggs into a medium saucepan, then cover completely with cold water.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat, then boil for 1 minute. Turn the heat off and remove it from the burner.
  3. Cover with a lid and let the eggs sit for 10 minutes.
  4. Place the eggs in a large bowl with ice water until the eggs are cool to the touch–about 5-10 minutes.
  5. Gently tap the bottom of the egg on the counter to crack, then carefully roll the egg on the counter to crack the rest of the shell.
  6. Carefully, peel the shell from the egg. If the shells are stubborn, try peeling them under running water.
  7. Slice and season with sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste, if desired, then eat.  Enjoy.
