Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • marshmallows to garnish (optional, small
  • Whipped Cream to garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the cocoa, sugar, and salt in a small saucepan. Pour the water slowly into the pan and stir or whisk until well blended.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat and let boil for 3 minutes. Add the milk and continue to cook until the milk steams, stirring constantly.
  3. Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and top with marshmallows or whipped cream if desired.
