Pickled Cabbage Recipe (Crazy Easy)

This pickled cabbage is mixed with carrots, onions, and peppers in a sweet and tangy brine. You'll never be in a pickle with this crazy easy recipe!

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs cabbage
  • 1/2 lb carrots
  • 1/2 lb onion
  • 1/2 lb red bell pepper
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 6 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup oil olive or avocado

Instructions

  1. Prepare all the veggies. Cut them by hand or use a Mandoline Slicer.
  2. Place all the veggies in a large bowl. Massage them lightly by hand.
  3. Add salt, sugar, vinegar and oil. Toss together to spread the seasoning evenly.
  4. Pack the cabbage mixture tightly into jars. Cover with a lid and leave to refrigerate overnight. The cabbage is ready to eat the next day!

Notes

  • Makes about 2 liters of Pickled Cabbage.
