Pineapple Banana Smoothie
A refreshing blend of fresh pineapple, bananas, yogurt, and just a splash of orange juice combines to make this tasty breakfast smoothie. This Pineapple Banana Smoothie is also great for an after workout treat or an anytime snack!
Ingredients
- 1 banana peeled and cut into thirds
- ½ pineapple fresh
- 1 cup yogurt regular or Greek, fat-free, french vanilla
- ½ cup orange juice
- 1 ½ cups ice
Instructions
- Place the banana pieces into a food storage bag and pop them into the freezer for 2-3 hours. (You can do this ahead of time with multiple bananas so you're always ready to make smoothies.)
- Peel, core, and chop the pineapple and then add the pieces to a blender. Then add the frozen banana, yogurt, and orange juice to the blender as well. Turn to puree and blend until smooth.
- Add the ice and blend once more until smooth. Give the smoothie a taste and adjust the flavors to your liking with more juice or yogurt. (see note)
Notes
- If you prefer your smoothie thicker add another 1/2 cup of ice, or if you prefer it to be thinner add a splash or two of orange juice.
