Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped fresh pineapple
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped fresh ginger root
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 cups Pure Leaf Unsweetened Iced Tea

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place the pineapple, ginger, and water in a saucepan and set it over medium heat until boiling. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for fifteen minutes. Turn off the heat and let it cool for ten minutes.
  2. Transfer the pineapple mixture to the bowl of a blender. Process until smooth. Strain it through a fine mesh sieve and chill it until ready to use.
  3. Combine ¼ cup of pineapple-ginger concentrate with 1 cup of Pure Leaf Unsweetened Iced Tea and serve over ice.

Notes

  • Store the Pineapple Ginger Tea in an airtight container in the refrigerator; it will stay good for up to one week. To freeze, freeze in ice cube trays for easy use later.
  • You can thaw it naturally in the fridge if frozen, then mix it with iced tea when ready to serve.
