Pink Mojitos
This pink mojito is the perfect cocktail for any occasion this summer. With strawberry, lime, and rum, it's a ton of fun in a glass!
Ingredients
For the Mojitos
- 2 cups white rum 16 ounces
- 7 lime about 1 cup of fresh lime juice, juiced
- 2 cups ginger ale
- 1 ½ ounces grenadine
- 4 strawberries sliced
- 8 mint leaves
For the Garnish
- lime fresh slices
- strawberry fresh, sliced
- mint leaves
Instructions
- Start by preparing the garnishes first: slice fresh limes and strawberries, gather mint leaves and set aside
- In a large pitcher stir together the rum, lime juice, ginger ale, grenadine, strawberries, and mint leaves.
- Muddling the mint leaves allows the oils to be released which helps bring out its flavor in your beverage. However, if you don’t have a tool specifically designed for muddling, you can simply rip or tear the mint leaves and stir them into the mixture.
- When ready to serve, pour evenly into ice-filled glasses. Garnish lime slices, strawberry slices, and mint. Enjoy!
- To make a strawberry-flavored pink mojito, simply add an extra ½ cup of strawberry puree to your drink after muddling the strawberries and before adding any other ingredients. This will give your cocktail a delightful sweet and fruity flavor!
Notes
- Choose a white rum that is not spiced or avoid coconut rum to keep the drink's traditional flavor.
- Use a large pitcher to ensure you have enough room for all of the ingredients.
- Let flavors combine by occasionally stirring while chilling in the refrigerator.
- Add the ginger ale just before serving for maximum flavor, bubbles and sweetness.
- Have a cutting board, knife, citrus juicer/squeezer, and long wooden spoon or cocktail stirrer ready beforehand.
- Make sure all ingredients are chilled before mixing them together.
- Use fresh limes to get the maximum flavor in your mojitos.
- Garnish with mint leaves or slices of lime or strawberry on top of each glass as desired.
