Pioneer Fried Chicken

Pioneer Fried Chicken features pieces of chicken coated first in cornstarch, then dipped in a seasoned wet batter before frying in hot peanut or canola oil. The combination of cornstarch and flour with spices like paprika, onion powder, celery salt, and baking powder creates a crispy coating that contrasts with the tender cooked chicken inside. Frying at 350°F ensures the chicken cooks through with a golden crust. Draining on a metal rack prevents sogginess, preserving the crunch.
