Ingredients
- 10 canned biscuits
- 6 ounces Pizza Sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 20 slices pepperoni
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Spray an 8 x 8-inch or 7 x 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Open the biscuit cans and cut each biscuit into eight pieces. Kitchen shears work great for this.
- Add the biscuit pieces to the baking dish. Add the pizza sauce and stir to coat the biscuits.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top of the biscuits. Then, add the pepperoni slices.
- Bake for 25-35 minutes, until the biscuits are puffed up and the edges of the pepperoni are crispy.
- Let cool for 5 minutes, then cut into slices and serve.
Cup of Yum
Notes
- Use refrigerated biscuits that aren't the flaky layers type. Regular homestyle biscuits work best and give the perfect texture.
- To serve a crowd (or hungry teenagers) double the recipe and make it in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
- Stir the sauce and biscuits gently but thoroughly. You want each piece coated.
- If you want to ensure pepperoni in every bite, you can layer it so it overlaps.
- I wouldn't recommend freezing this recipe.
- Add any pizza toppings you like! Just make sure any meat is pre-cooked and vegetables are pre-sautéed to remove excess moisture.
