Pizza Sauce with Tomato Puree

Ingredients

  • 2 cans tomato puree (29 ounces each)
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 5 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 5 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients into a saucepan. 2 cans tomato puree, 1 1/4 cup water, 5 tablespoon granulated sugar, 5 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil, 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, 3/4 teaspoon dried basil, 3/4 teaspoon dried thyme, 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  2. Turn stove onto medium heat until sauce starts to simmer.
  3.  Let simmer for 30 minutes. Put it on your pizza or use it as a dip!
