Pomegranate Martini
The Pomegranate Martini mixes vodka, Cointreau (or other orange liqueur), fresh pomegranate juice, and lemon juice into a chilled, shaken cocktail. The drink offers a balance of citrus brightness, sweet-tart pomegranate flavor, and the clean warmth of vodka. Shaking with ice chills the drink thoroughly without diluting it excessively, and garnishing with lemon peel adds a fragrant touch. This cocktail suits occasions where a vibrant, fruity martini is desired.
Ingredients
- 2 fluid ounces vodka citron can be used
- 1 fluid ounce Cointreau or other orange liqueur
- 2 fluid ounces pomegranate juice fresh or bottled
- ½ fluid ounce lemon juice fresh
Instructions
- Add ice to cocktail shaker.
- Pour 2 fluid ounces vodka, 1 fluid ounce Cointreau or other orange liqueur, 2 fluid ounces pomegranate juice, 1/2 fluid ounce lemon juice.
- Shake well, pour, then garnish with lemon peel and enjoy!
Notes
- Chill martini glasses in the freezer before serving to keep the cocktail cold longer.
- Adjust vodka amounts to control the strength of the cocktail as desired.
- If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, use a jar with a tight lid and strain through a mesh strainer.
- Avoid using crushed ice in the shaker to prevent quick melting and dilution.
- Try garnishing with fresh herbs like mint, rosemary, or thyme for added botanical flavor.
- Substitute Cointreau with other orange liqueurs like Triple Sec or Grand Marnier if needed.
- Use fresh lemon juice, rolling the lemon on the counter beforehand to extract more juice.
