Pomegranate Martini Recipe
The Pomegranate Martini blends vodka, pomegranate juice, and Cointreau for a balanced cocktail with a sweet and tart profile. The addition of a sweetener like agave nectar and an optional orange slice garnish enhances its fresh flavor. Shaken with ice, the drink is chilled and slightly diluted to create a smooth texture, suitable for a refined evening drink.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces pomegranate juice fresh or store-bought
- 2 ounces vodka or other clear liquor
- 1 ounce Cointreau or Grand Marnier
- 2 teaspoons agave nectar honey, or pure maple syrup
- ice
- orange sliced, optional
Instructions
- Fill a shaker halfway full with ice and then add the pomegranate juice, vodka, Cointreau, and sweetener.
- Shake for 10-15 seconds and pour into two martini glasses.
- Garnish the glasses with an orange slice and enjoy!
Notes
- Use fresh pomegranate juice when possible for the best flavor.
- Adjust the amount of sweetener gradually to suit your taste preferences.
- Serve the martini immediately after shaking for optimal strength and freshness.
- Freshly juiced pomegranate can be prepared in advance and kept refrigerated.
- Leftover martinis can be refrigerated up to 2 days but may lose potency due to alcohol evaporation.
