Ingredients

  • 2 ounces pomegranate juice fresh or store-bought
  • 2 ounces vodka or other clear liquor
  • 1 ounce Cointreau or Grand Marnier
  • 2 teaspoons agave nectar honey, or pure maple syrup
  • ice
  • orange sliced, optional

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Fill a shaker halfway full with ice and then add the pomegranate juice, vodka, Cointreau, and sweetener.
  2. Shake for 10-15 seconds and pour into two martini glasses.
  3. Garnish the glasses with an orange slice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Pomegranate.  For the best pomegranate martini squeeze your own pomegranate juice.
  • Sweetener. Start with just a little sweetener and add more to fit your preferences.
  • Dilute. Pour immediately for a stronger drink or let it sit in the shaker for a more diluted cocktail.
  • Prep-Ahead: You can juice the pomegranate and keep in the fridge until you're ready to make the drink.
  • Storage: If you have leftovers, you can leave them in the fridge for up to 2 days. However, the alcohol will evaporate when exposed to air.
