Ingredients

  • 1 pound Shrimp , peeled and deveined (30-40 count)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun Seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk milk
  • vegetable oil , for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, Cajun seasoning, and salt in a shallow bowl.
  2. Whisk together the eggs and buttermilk in a second bowl.
  3. Add the shrimp to the flour, tap off excess flour, then dredge in the egg mixture.
  4. Let excess drip off then place back in the flour and coat.
  5. Place on a baking sheet and continue to coat the remaining shrimp.
  6. Heat a large pot with 2 inches of vegetable oil on medium high heat.
  7. Heat oil to 350 degrees.
  8. Fry the shrimp for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
