Popeyes Biscuits
You can make buttery buttermilk biscuits like Popeyes with this easy copycat recipe.
Ingredients
- 3 cups biscuit mix do not use Bisquick, Pioneer or store brand
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 4 tablespoons butter melted, divided use
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the baking mix and buttermilk. Stir until just blended.
- Flour a board and place the biscuit dough on the board. Gently pat out the dough to about 1/2 inch and use a 2-inch biscuit cutter to cut about 8 biscuits.
- Brush a baking sheet with 2 1/2 tablespoons of melted butter. Place the biscuits on baking sheet and bake until golden brown, about 12 to 14 minutes.
- Remove the biscuits from the oven and brush with the remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons of melted butter.
